ABOUT US
The Salvage Barn, operated by Friends of Historic Preservation, is a warehouse specializing in historic architectural building materials that are 50 years and older. It serves as a source for homeowners to find historically appropriate and ecologically friendly items. All inventory is donated, most of which is salvaged from homes slated for demolition in the Johnson County area. The Salvage Barn maintains a Tool Library and offers workshops throughout the year that are free and open to the public. The Salvage Barn has been part of Iowa City's landfill diversion program for over 20 years.
ABOUT THE FAIR
